CAMPAIGN ASKS JERSEY PUBLIC TO TAKE PART AND SUPPORT 81st SILENCE
June 28th 2021 marks the 81st Anniversary of the start of the Occupation of the Channel Islands during WW2.
The near to 5.000 Campaign asks all the public with the 81st Anniversary Silence - We’re asking everyone to pause -mute your phone, close your laptop, switch off the telly– for just 2 minutes and pay your respects for those who Faced the Occupation of Channel Islands WW2. Reflect Remember- June 28th 18.45. First Casualties - below St Helier
Forty-three people were killed and 44 injured when German planes attacked the two islands on 28 June 1940.
